This is a static website. It has no accounts, no comments, and no newsletter. This page explains the little data that does move when you visit.
What this site collects directly
Nothing you type. There are no forms, no logins and no comment boxes on this site, so there is nothing for you to submit.
Server logs
The hosting provider that serves these pages keeps standard access logs, which typically include your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user agent, and the referring page. These logs are used to keep the site running and to detect abuse. They are held by the hosting provider under its own retention policy.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links, marked by a disclosure box at the top of the page. When you click one, the merchant or its affiliate network usually sets a cookie in your browser so it can attribute a later purchase. That cookie is set by them, on their domain, under their privacy policy — not by this site. If you would rather not be tracked that way, do not click the link, or clear the cookie afterwards.
Images
Some illustrations on this site are generated with AI image models and are labelled as such by the platforms that support labelling. No images on this site depict real people.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them.
Your rights
This site holds no accounts and no personal data of its own. Analytics data is held by the providers listed above; you can stop it at any time with the button below. For the hosting provider's logs, contact me and I will pass the request on.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses two analytics services to understand which guides people actually read and where they stop reading. It uses no advertising trackers and does not sell or share data for advertising.
- Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: nothing loads until you choose “Allow” in the banner.
- Everyone else: the analytics load when you arrive, and a banner tells you so. Choose “Opt out” and they stop for this browser.
- If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, neither service loads, wherever you are.
Your region is estimated from your browser’s time zone setting; if it cannot be read, you are treated as being in the EU. Your choice is remembered in your browser only.

If you decline or opt out, the site works exactly the same. You can change your mind with the button under “Your rights”.
Separately, affiliate links set their own cookies when you click them — that is how the retailer knows the visit came from here. Those are only set if you click a link, and are covered by the affiliate disclosure.
